![]() Sounds highly suspicious! Like your ISP is using some type of p2p filter. You could try a proxy. Have a look here: A Fix for those whose ISP's block Limewire pages 1 & 2 which has a link to alternative instructions. |

![]() Hey,thanks,but it looks like my LW is different,because i go to tools>options>advanced but after that i don't have any firewall options.Do i have a diffrent version of limewire?I downloaded the new version from the official site.I don't Know what to do.Maybe somebody can give me some more advices,because i am not very good with all of this technical things.Thank you. ![]() Ok,i tried to use different proxy but now LW doesn't even want to connect.Before it connected very quick,but downloading speed droped to 0kb after 30 seconds or so.I have been using limewire about 8 months ago and everything was perfect.Do you have another tip??? ![]() |

![]() I have a suspicion you haven't set your LW & the proxies up properly. You can follow NeOteric's instructions to the letter or these instructions: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...064#post124064 NeOteric did tell me via pm he had to try many proxies before one worked. Try varying your port number. Whichever port you use in the Proxy setting you should also use in the firewall setting for listening port. eg: if the proxy port is set to 3380 then the listening port also set to 3380. ie: Tools>Options>Advanced>Proxy port no. & Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewall listening port should be the same. Whichever port no. you try. If all this fails you could always try Bearshare but my thoughts are it will have the exact same problems: http://www.bearshare.com/downloads.htm |
