I Can’t download nothing I Can’t download nothing Help!!!! I‘ve Limewire 4.8.1 pro and lately even though limewire is connected (turbo charged) I can’t download any file. A popup appears saying that the file is corrupted and I click yes to go on downloading the file but nothing changed, because it appears that the central computers are busy or that I need more sources. I’ve Windows XP SP2 and the firewall of windows is activated, I‘ve Sygate personal firewall pro too. But I think that all began when my antivirus was updated to avast 4.6 pro. I‘ve followed the instructions of the FAQ of limewire for users behind a firewall but they don’t work. |

There is no central server for LW. If there were they would probably been busted like napster. Think about it! Configure your firewalls: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml Try these: Fixes for Limewire For corrupt files see: T3 Spammers Can you give us a total desciption of your set up: 1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) 2. What firewalls you have? 3. ram? 4. Hard Disk space available? 5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? 7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? 8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. |
