Downloading Says Connecting...
 

I have Limewire Pro 4.8.1 and am running Windows Xp with SP2. Recently, whenever I start Limewire, I'm able to connect as Turbocharged, and uploads work properly. However, when I'm downloading, I can search and find files with plenty of locations (30-40), and when I attempt to download the file, it says connecting... But it rarely ever connects and downloads although there are plenty of locations. I checked the test page at www3.limewire.com:6346 and am no longer able to connect. I am using Windows Internet Connection Firewall along with Sygate Personal Firewall, and have opened up port 6346.

Hmmm did you open both TCP and UDP access in your firewalls.

Not sure about your other firewall, but it probably has a way so that both can be configured.
