Downloading
 

I too are new to Limewire. I have XP Home, running on Pentium 4, with ADSL connection. Five days now I have been trying to download music recorded by Lou Ann Barton, I have downloaded some but others are being extremely difficult. I have followed all the suggestions from your site thru the tools menu i.e quality, speeds hosts etc but I am still having no luck! Given the span of time that I have been trying for these downloads would it be wise to discontinue my searches or are there any further suggestions.

I am using Limewire 4.8.1, and not firewalled

Instead of doing an audio search, try a general 'any type' search. I did a quick search & came up with It hurts to be in love by angela strehli / Lou Ann Barton / marcia ball from the album: Dreams come true

I just searched under barton. Perhaps you can vary your searches & even search for the other collaborators on the album as well.

Thanks Lord, tried any type and got 3 more, however 3 others were downloading and they stopped at 58%, tried force resume but no luck. Anyway I will keep trying various ways for another couple of days.

When a downld stops, another way is to go to downlds, select that file & press the stop button. Then go back to the search results & reselect & press Downld again. This sometimes revitalises the downld.

Also if you find somebody has one of the songs of a particular artist to then Browse them. They might have more.
