okay im at the point where im going to scream, i finally hooked up to dsl, (512/128) so i could d/l movies, id been told limewire was the best site to go through, so i downloaded it. So far im 26% into a movie download and the problem is that iv been downloading it for over a week, the most im able to download at is about 2kps, and this is someone on a T3 setting with 11 sources. i did my homework and looked at the forum etc for best settings etc, but still nothing has changed, i actually feel that dial up was faster. Pleeze can someone steer me in the right direction, as to what im surposed to do to get a quicker download speed.

Are you uplding at the same time. If yes, your results should improve. Sometimes it can help to re-search the topic again. And sometimes even try this ... when you see the open manilla folder icon with an arrow in the search results which means that's the file you're downlding, then select the file in the downld list & press Stop button. Then select this file from the search results with the open folder icon & press to select downld again. Sometimes this can refresh it & even hook onto another open slot.

Speeds from T1 & T3 can vary b/c they may have all upld slots full & be sharing the bandwith b/w them. They might also be not so generous & not offer a lot of bandwidth for upld. Or one/more of their other uplds is taking the bulk of the upld bandwidth.

Remember also that those with 3 or 4 stars in search results represent the best chances of connection & thus successful downld.
