![]() Awaiting sources means you've used the Resume/Find Sources button to continue them but after searching they couldn't find their original sources. It's roughly the same as Need More Souces message. Re-search the topic & select the one with the open manila folder & arrow icon & with any luck the file will start downlding again. If not you can press stop on that file on downld list & re-select it from the search results. This is sometimes very effective. Aborted usually only happens after you get a corrupt message & you've pressed no to continue it. What might have happened is you've got this message once & then ticked the option to always use this answer so you're no longer asked if you wish to continue the downld. You can undo this by going to Tools>Options>View>Popups & tick Revert to Default & press Apply button. However, personally I would forget about those that have been aborted. If you really want them, then research the topics but choose alternative sources in the results .. not the ones with the torn paper icon which shows you stopped downlding it. Chances are these files are corrupt at their source. For music see this: T3 Spammers; mp3 Bit-Rates Versus File Sizes ie: be wary of T3 sources for recently released music. Check the file size & bit rate shown in search results & compare it to others on the list. Those that are modem sources (or non T3) are most likely going to be the accurate ones for comparing against. |

![]() Go to LW's Library window & then menu File>Add Folder to Share. Then select a folder of material you wish to share. To see if anybody is uplding from you go to bottom pane of Monitor window. Also you can see downld & Hits (=how many times your files have been seen in a search) to the far right of your shared files in the lib window. |

![]() If you search the forums you'll find your answers. 0 KB will represent between 0 & 1 thus bytes. Hmm 7 KB/s not bad! It looks to me like you're using th Resume/Find sources button on all your files which is not the most efficient means. Some tips: Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! Don't use the Resume button on all incomplete files. This will also stress LW & your comp. If you use Resume/Find sources then just apply it to a couple or so at one time. A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. The latter one I've been thinking about re-writing for some time. That's just for playing it safe. eg- I show all speeds & qualities. eg: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...028#post116028 |
