Is limewire down at the moment?
 

I tried to download a certain song but no matter what i try to download it will always say need more sources. So i tried typing in the song and got over 200 results and i said to download it all and sure enough all of them said need more sources. I am using DSL. do you think you can tell me whats wrong. it just suddenly started ding this now. Thanks.

Whilst you might get over 200 results how many of those were from the actual file you selected to downld.

hoose sources to downld that have 3 or 4 star quality which means a greater chance for a successful connection. Also choose those with many under the # column.

Some hints: Don't use the Resume button on all incomplete files. This will also stress LW & your comp. If you use Resume/Find sources then just apply it to a couple or so at one time.

A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. The latter one I've been thinking about re-writing for some time. That's just for playing it safe. eg- I show all speeds & qualities.

By the way if you're worried in particular this is an odd behaviour for LW then try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire
