When your files are initially downlded they are in your Saved Files folder. Next time you may find they've been moved to your Shared folder. I'm a bit vague about that .. it's a bit confusing. But they're basically the same thing. By the way, select the Saved Files folder in the Library window & press Explore. This is where they can be found immediately. These files won't be shared until LW re-accounts for all its shared files (which might be next time you re-open LW.) So then you'd find them in your Shared folder. You can force LW to recount all its shared files by pressing the Refresh button.

Failing everything, you can search mp3 on your computer to find them.

Default empty library

I'm having a similar problem. I've had lime wire before and thought I was knowledgable, but this is a totally weird problem. I had to re-install it after my OS went down.
So, I installed, and began to download all the songs I previously had. After they were complete, I cleared the inactive and went into the library to listen. They weren't there. I switched from shared to incomplete and a few were in there (but wouldn't launch). I don't know why. They were complete when I cleared them, and I thought they wouldn't clear unless they were complete, anyway.
After that I downloaded them, again. (Got the same message as the user above... "would you like to write over...?" Yet they weren't in the library.)
But, this time, I didn't clear them when they were complete. Instead, I tried to launch them from the search page and they wouldn't do that, either. So, I cleared tham, again, and went to look for them in the library. They weren't there. I clicked refresh. Still nothing.

I don't have a "saved files" section in my library, as you suggested to the other user. Any suggestions?

The problem 'might' be that the files are being shared & so the files don't actually erase even though they might appear to. I'm guessing here b/c I'd have thought you'd receive an error message in such a case.

Close LW down (possibly even reboot) & erase them using either of these utilities: 1st see: http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q308421
& then

Thanks for such a quick response. I will try that, but here is some additional info on the problem. So far, 3 songs have shown up in the library, but will not play thru itunes as I expected. They are played independently(I suppose) on a small, metallic grey screen that pops up in the upper left hand corner of my computer. Please excuse my ignorance in not knowing the name of that particular player. These are the only 3 songs considered for sharing (indicated by the lower left of the LW screen. Says 3 shared files)
However, the other songs seem to have been downloaded because of the "overwrite" message and also , there is a check to the left of the song in the search screen.
Maybe I dont have the correct player for these or I dont have it connected?

Thanks, again, for your time. You rock.
