i previewd my file and when it came up it was all colors in lines like a tv tele text, then when it finished i opened it and it still had no picture and just colors!, its a big file still so is my film still in there? how can i get it out?

Use the forum's search function between f.a.q. and home in the upper right. Search for --- codecs

Or find one of ursula's posts and look in the signature line.

It looks as though you may need some codecs or possibly an alternate player. A forum search will produce results for both.

It may aslo be a bad file, but more than likely a codec is needed to play the file.

ur file is corrupt but not fully corrupt..what u can do is, go to http://www.video-fixer.com/ and download the "Divx Avi Asf Wmv Wma Rm Rmvb Fixer 3.23 program".. and use VLC media player which u can download from "http://www.videolan.org/vlc/" to play the file. Now depending on the file format u have, u can find other video fixer programs and play them in VLC player.. Let me know if it doesnot work..
