Default uploading=faster??

if I have files being uploaded from me....does that make my downloads faster? I always thought it made it slower...but now ive heard that it makes your downloads go faster...mine are very slow...

It depends on your connecction type I guess. If you're a dial up modem user, then your uplds & downlds have to share the one bandwidth which means anything you upld will mean less for downlding. But for other types of connections, uplding 'will' give you better search & downld results. This is purely a personal observation but if I increase the upld bandwidth my downlds seem to go faster. I don't know if that's the rule or just an obeserved exception. lol

if you upload on bittorent your downloads will speed up, this doesnt make a difference on limewire! i limit my upload speed to around 10kb/s because if i upload any faster my downloads slow down so have a test and see what you can leave your speed at.

mupet0000 are you using a dsl connection or an adsl. dsl may affect your downlds but adsl won't.
