![]() Cannot find a thread regarding this ... I am trying to download something that "apparently" has 12 available sources ... seems like plenty ... yet it is only downloading from one source at a time, maybe two, and 5 or 6 KB/s. I have LW Pro and a Cable modem which has let me go at 400 KB/s before, I know enough to say that the trouble is not my slow connection ![]() Anyway, are there any settings I can change to speed this up or potentially start downloading from more of these sources? Is it just that too many people are downloading from them or they have slowed their own connection by their settings and activities? |

![]() Now as I sit here wondering if anyone can help ... my search still reveals 11 sources yet I went down to 0KB/s and then "Waiting in line position 1." I have been downloading this for 12 hours, why would I all of the sudden be waiting in line like the first person asking to download? |

![]() Hard to say . . . sounds like the other 10 or 11 are busy, and the one or two sources are slow--probably because they are busy too. For more info, turn on the extended tooltips by control-clicking (right-click) the column headers of the downloads panel. For a setting that might apply, look through the options/preferences for the checkbox that allows partial file sharing. The box should be checked. |

![]() That helped me to partially see what was going on, thank you very much. Yes, most of the sources were busy, leaving only two to actually download from ... annoying, but expected I guess. I am still not sure why it would act like I was a new downloader and queue me once in a while (make me "wait in line") but I just let the download go and sometime during the day it finished. It really bugged me though ... trying to download missed episodes of 24 and had a few go wicked fast, less than an hour at 300-400 KB/s, and others take almost 24 hours. Anyway ... Thanks again!!! That advice will help in the future! |
