Hi and thanks for this support service.
I've several questions regarding uploading status messages. 1. In the Library window, the uploads column has 2 sections, separated by a "/" mark. I'm assuming that if it reads, " 2/4" it is telling me that 2 of 4 upload attempts were successful. Yes? 2. In the Monitor window: a. "transfer interrupted": This is not because of a setting or a fault with my own computer, is it? b. "Could not find file": If I download a file and rename it/edit the tags for MusicMatch to my preferences, does that cause the file to get "lost" to other limewire users? c. "Upload Limit Reached" In options, I've selected 5 uploads per user. Does this mean 5 in one session, or that the person can upload 5 files from my library and then can never upload from me again? d. I see a lot of small percent numbers by "complete". I'm guessing this means that the user's download only required, for instance, 6% of the file in my library to complete the download. Is this correct? e. I've some audio tracks that are being uploaded frequently; tracks and artists that I've not seen when I've done searches. It's peculiar to me that, although they're downloaded from my library frequently, I never see them when I search. Is this because they came from my computer and a default "blinds me" from files originating from my computer? Sorry for so many questions. I've read the manual and many posts here but am still unclear. I'm asking out of curiosity and because I want to be an active sharer of mp3 files. If my settings are causing problems for folks wanting files of mine, then I want to correct the settings. Thanks! Allen |

Hmmmm I'll answer the ones I know.
1. 2/4 meaning --- 2 is the number of complete file uploads. 4 is the partial number of times that file was uploaded --- They just needed a portion of yours and got the rest from other hosts. 2. a. Can be caused for many reasons to numerous for me to explain. like loss of internet connection by you or the host trying to u/l. b. not lost, but it will no longer be identified to the other hosts as the original file, and they will have to do another search to find it again, and it will be listed with the new ID tag. It will also start from 0% since it doesn't recognize the original tag, unless there is a host with the original file and tag. Also when you do a file refresh after you add a file it will post the same thing -- file could not be found -- until the refresh is done. Then the host will be able to upload again. c. not sure, but my guess is for that session or a set time period by LW program. I have seen the same IP u/l from me on different days, whether it was the same host or not I don't know. d. yes e. yes --- think of it like this. Why would you want to d/l from yourself.
