hi..i've been using limewire for 4 mths now..i recently noticed tat my quality has been 'excellent' instead of e usual 'turbo charged'.. i've also noticed tat there are many hits but no uploads.. there used to be alot of uploads but now there isnt a single one..and i didnt change any of my options tab b4 this problem happen.. my downloading speed has also dropped-mayb becos of my quality has been 'excellent' instead of 'turbo-charged'..i try e methods tat u posted.. i even disabled my firewall to try and increase my speed.. but noting happen... im using broadband.. please help

wat abt my uploads..? there seem to be no one 'uploads' but theres 'hits' in my library.. wats e connection between 'uploads' & 'hits' in e library.. in e past theres alot of uploads when i checked e 'monitor' tab but now none.. i didnt disconnect limewire for a few hrs now.. and i've disabled my firewall.. can people still upload even if doesnt show in ''monitor' tab??

After LW's been open for at least 20 mins do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False? If False then you have a firewall issue. See: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml & don't have more than 2 firewalls active b/c they may clash with each other (remember XP has its own firewall.)

Some tips:

* Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue!

* After opening LW wait 10 to 20 mins before using. Let it settle down 1st.

* Don't use the Resume button on all incomplete files. This can have side-fx such as affect LW's connection quality. May queue your files for much much longer. This will also stress LW & your comp. If you use Resume/Find sources then just apply it to a couple or so at one time.

* A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. The latter one I've been thinking about re-writing for some time. That's just for playing it safe. eg- I show all speeds & qualities.
