Where is the download?

Hi all,
First: I'm completely new to this, and I'm everything but a so called 'wizkid'.

A few days ago, I started to download a movie ("Cursed" from Wes Craven, made in 2005). The download was done for 25 % when I had to leave for work; I closed down my computer, started it up again when I came back home, and I was surprised that LimeWire saved my download progress - it wend back to downloading from where I left. No problem, I thought.
So I shut down my computer when I wend to bed, but the next morning I was even more surprised when I saw that the download progress was completely gone. LimeWire wasn't downloading anything. I restart searching for the same file, the same way as I did that the first time, but the same file is totally gone. It was a ripped movie from DVD, but it isn't listed any longer or anymore. Neither searching under "Wes Craven" nor "Cursed 2005" brought any solution.

Is the file, which I was downloading the first time, somewhere between Heaven and Earth, or is it gone gone for ever?
If it is floading between Heaven and Earth, please tell me how to find it back again.
