I installed Limewire the day before yesterday and was amazed at how many of the files I wanted were available and how fast they downloaded.

As of yesterday, though, everything seemed to grind to a halt. All of my files are "Awaiting Sources", and when something does get a connection, it takes forever to download.

I read deep on another thread that others seem to be having the same issue, but no one has addressed it specifically yet.

Basic info: I'm in NC running Windows NT with a wireless router to my home network, behind a firewall I already allowed Limewire to cross.

Any suggestions?

Here is all you need to know -

You are part of a netowrk when you use Limewire. You share files with others and they share with you. The more people who have part of a file will share with anyone who is missing even parts of thier files.

1. Leave your computer on all the time. Check Limewire and re-run your searches several times and then come back every hour or two to refresh those same searches. Do not close out your search when you are down. Leave the search window open until download is complete.

2. Try not to share bad files. Delete any virus or corrupt files as soon as possible. Use internet explorer and go to c:\program files\limewire\incomplete to delete corrupt data and old searches.
