![]() Attempts to download songs brings up error message "save directory is invalid..." Prompts me to choose another one, but doesn't accept any new choice. Error window won't even close unless I shut down the computer. Been using Lime for awhile, never had this problem before. Recently upgraded to Windows Player 9 and Lime 2.8.6 and things were great for about a week. ![]() |

![]() I am having this same problem. I also just upgraded to windows media player 9 and now limewire dosent recognize the shared file I have been using for a few weeks now, with 100+ succesful downloads. I created a new file for downloads and it worked for a little while until I moved all my files from the original file to the new one, now limewire dosent resognize either. if I try to set the shared file I get the error message "invalid directory for saving files" What am I doing wrong??? |

![]() After spending hours reading post here on the forum I found the solution that worked for me, once I was able to get into lime wire by creating a new download folder. I used windows explorer to find and delete my origional shared folder (after I had moved all my files out!), after deleting the old folder I then recreated it and went to lime wire and set the newly recreated folder as my download folder, I also made sure that read only was not checked for this folder. I downloaded a few songs and all seems to be back to normal. ![]() The new folder I had to create to get into lime wire, to get past the error message, once the above was working, I just deleted it. I then transfered all my shared files back into the newly recreated shared folder. And even though no one will admit it I think it was the media player 9 download that started this mess for me. ![]() Thanks for all the info on the forums, I also found some things to block to prevent viruses ![]() |
