I downloaded Limewire for MacOS today. When I put in a search it come up with nothing at all, even when I just click on search for whats new in all catagories. Does anyone know why? I have tried changing the proxie settings and so has the tech man at my work but still nothing?
PLEASE HELP! I hope I haven't wasted my money!

You shouldn't have paid anything--LimeWire Basic is Free, though some people have been tricked by scammers into paying for the Free version http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=28751

Anyway, if LW won't connect at your work, it's probably because many work networks don't allow filesharing.

I have used winMX on a PC here at work and shared files successfully, and that PC was run through the same routers etc. as my mac is?

If you can find out what ports WInMX uses, you should be able to use those in LW too.
