Don't seem to be able to dowload mac os x standard version of limewire. Does anyone experience the same problem? Are there solutions ?

I just tried (with safari), and the basic downloaded just fine, and the .dmg mounted OK too.

Download of limewire via safari just hangs. Are there any speciall settings to disable prior to selecting download ?

no, but you may want to delete any partially downloaded installers from the desktop first, and use Safari's "Empty Cache" command from the Safari Menu first before you try again.
