one day it just started over again
 

my limewire just started up just as if it was newly installed again, asking for a language and a shared folder. I've been using it for a few months now but it just up and got amnesia, couldnt remember what it was doing yesterday, is there some way to get it to continue downloading what it already partially downloaded?

Sounds like your preferences became corrupt or something like that.

If you chose the same location to downld your files then the incomplete files should be fine to continue.

Make sure you close LW down fully before shutting down your comp. otherwise this may lead to corrupted preferences.

My LW did the same thing yesterday. I'm super careful to always disconnect and shut down after I'm done because I have a sat connection which means my connection is always active. In fact, I only shut LW down to do other work - never shut down my computer! Here's the really weird part... My shared file is ok and I reset all my preferences, but when I went to search, I noticed all these files marked as dl'd in the search results that I never searched for before. And when I browsed a couple of hosts, I found lots of files marked as dl'd that I never would search for. Anybody have any idea what's up?

the "marked as downloaded" thing happens to me too, eventhough I'm sure I havent even seen the file before
