![]() I have a firewall using Linux + masquerading serving three client computers. The client computers are running Limewire. The clients can currently download from other computers which aren't firewalled. However we would like to share and gain access to other computers which are firewalled. Now I realise that I have to do some port forwarding. So I've forwarded port 7066 on the firewall to port 7066 on my client machine. In Limewire I have force the IP to ****.cable.nu, port 7066. My question: does Limewire work correctly with hostnames rather than IP addresses in the force IP field? This is important because we have a dynamic IP address but ****.cable.nu always resolves to our server. Thanks Andrew |
