![]() Some Mpeg files downloaded from Limewire seem to "overwrite" themselves -- i.e., the file sizes are correct, but the entire file won't play. Opening files during downloads (say at 50%) show frames and scenes that entirely disappear when the file is 100% complete... movie trailers available on the web in the Mpeg format aren't affected -- the same files (down to the last kilobyte) downloaded from LimeWire 17 sometimes - not always - overwrite. I'm on a Mac Os 9.4 platform, with plenty of RAM, etc. -- so it's not a hardware problem, and judging by Quicktime's performance with web-based downloads, I don't believe it's their software. It's frustrating to wait for some file to download completely only to discover that it ain't all there... so... what's up? fjd |
