Slow Downloading

I am getting a 0KB/s when trying to download songs. They are taking anywhere from 5-13 hrs. to download. I have tried many suggestions previously posted and they are not working. I use to be able to download a song in 5-10 min. then all of a sudden it started taking forever. I even upgraded to Limewire Pro and it is not helping. Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
:)

See To continue files downlding (click on link) Try searching for other sources. Generally you should choose those with 3 or 4 stars & lots of sources under the # column from the search results.

Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False? If false then something like a firewall is partially blocking LW.

Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)

I have my setting to only show me 4 star ratings.

I am getting a "false" on the bug report, but cannot figure out if I have a firewall or not. When i go to my network connections, properties, advanced there is nothing in there about a firewall. I do have something on there called a Packet Scheduler. It controlls network traffic control, including rate-of-flow and prioitization service. Could that be what is making me have this problem?

Thanks,

I don't know what that is but it sounds like it might be contributing to your problem.

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. How much ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
9. Who is your isp provider?
