![]() Why there is such a wide swing in the speed of downloads as well as the number of hosts that it downloads from? I have been using Limewire for quite some time now and thought for awhile it was getting better, but am not so sure of that at the present time. Right now I have almost 9 hours into downloading one, just one file of a little over 600 Meg, and I figure at this rate it will be done by midnight, and then by that time I will be too tired to preview it. So far I have seen the range on this one swing from 50+ to 0 and then even when I had it at 87% done, it decides to tell me that it put me at "waiting in line, position 1", which I can't understand the reasoning for its doing so. Now if someone out there can explain all this to me and the reasoning for its doing this, I might not be so frustrated with the whole thing. Thanks for any info and help on this one! |

![]() I am also having a similiar problem. I am trying to download a file from somebody with a cable/dsl connection (same as min) and it swings from downloading to need more sources to waiting in line. WTH??? Anybody got any ideas??? |

![]() as I have the same thing going on here, except that I am not 10 1/2 hours into 1 file that I am downloading, it has now managed to put me waiting in line, position #1, with 96% of it done. Now what's wrong with this picture? And on top of that I run cable/DSL, plius have 1 GIG of memory on the computer itself, so know it's not the computer. Maybe these guys should talk to the program engineers at BearShare and see what they're doing there, that they're not doing here? Good idea maybe? |

![]() ok here you go gyus the thing is you guys are onwloading file from other people so if the person you are domwloading from logs of you cant donwload from them when you are donwloading and it says donwloadinf from 2,3,4,5,or even 6 host it means youre donwloading from six different people so when you donw load try to donwload from a file that has alot of host you know the number of host their posted before the name of the file if theirs no number it means that for that file theirs only one host at that time with that file same thing people donwload files from you guys have and you logg of that person gets quedd waiting in line means next available host that opens youre next so be considerate when youre logging off close limewire you will see it goes to the bottom corner where youre clock or the depending where you have it located the left click and choose where it says logg after somethings done what that means is that if somebody is donwloading one of youre files you wont cut them off once their done lime wire will shut donw sorry if a liitle long hope i coverd everything |
