![]() I have seen a few files for which the Limewire search finds many instances of the result but doesn't recognize them as being the same file. There may be 40 results, all identical. 2 or 3 might be grouped together as the same file. All of the others will be listed individually as if they were different, despite the fact they have the same name and length. This makes it almost impossible to download a copy, as there is no way to get a "downloading from multiple hosts" going. I can start a download from one instance. At the speeds Limewire usually gets from a single host, it will take 5 days to complete. If that instance goes away, Limewire can not start up with a different instance, because the search began from a find of what was listed as an isolated single instance of the file. Is this a bug in the system? Or something peculiar about these particular files that is foiling the search? |
