playing downloaded files

why cant i play some of my downloaded mp3's on the Windows Media Player? it says "the file is either corrupt or the player does not support the format you are trying to play". can u pls help me. it took so long for me to download it den it would turn to nothing?!

Did you see T3 Spammers; mp3 Bit-Rates Versus File Sizes
Either that or your wmp needs xtra CODECs.
