![]() ok i was downloading a file and for some reason an error occured and now the file is not in the transfers it is in the incomplete downloads...im on 56k and it took me forever to get that much complete lol..is there anyway to get it back in the transfer because it still is in incomplete downloads |

![]() The default location is C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared You can access it easily by going to LW's library window & selecting Saved Files folder & pressing the Explore button which will open this folder for you. The incomplete folder is at the same directory level: C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\incomplete |

![]() shared folder has downloaded files and incomplete folder has incomplete files...do u no what folder the files that are currently downloading are in because im gonna try to put the incomplete file in that folder. |

![]() Presently downlding files are in the incomplete folder. Did you read carefully what I suggested earlier? Don't touch the file from the incomplete folder. Just do things using LW. Search the topic again & reselect to downld. If that doesn't work then go to Library window & select the file & press the resume button. |

![]() there was no erro mesg...i accidently opened lime wire twice and when i closed one of them the file that was downloading was gone. yeah i tried to resume and it starts from the begining and i researched it and it just started from the begining to because i had already hit resume. i still have the incomplete file tho..i guess theres nothin i can do |

![]() Not now no. Yeah that can happen with 2 windows of LW open. I've done it myself. But it's not healthy to keep 2 windows open so really you did the right thing. (Perhaps you should choose which one to close if it happens again. lol ![]() The other option you might think of is to backup the downld preferences once a week or so. Go to incomplete folder & make copies of download.dat & .bak files & move the copies somewhere else. These are your downld prefs. It won't make any difference now but might in the future. I was a dial up user whilst using LW for 3 yrs so I know how difficult it is. Last edited by Lord of the Rings; July 14th, 2005 at 02:04 PM. |

![]() Don't do like I did... In the area of "how long to keep incomplete files" I put 0. In many programs, o means indefinitely. Not in Limewire. When I closed and restarted, the files that I had downloaded a portion of, were erased. Can't blame the program. It did exactly what I told it to. |
