OK make sure the files has as much info as possible. Whilst iTunes is a good encoder of id3tags, it's not the best of readers of id3tags (to say the least (which is why I also use mp3 rage to help encode id3tag info before or even after adding to itunes.) Don't make the id3tag the newest version otherwise some mp3 players won't recognise the tags. The newer the tag version the more info that can be added such as no. of characters, etc.

I use the id3 tag converter in iTunes and set everything to 2.3 it seems 1.1 works just as well, but 2.2 which seems to be iTunes default ...(Can I change it?) and 2.4 are both little use to the limewire user.

I also do not have artwork on any mp3 files as this seems to make the other information dissapear. I have no idea if this is the best course of action and I could find no suggestions in the faq etc. of the best recomendations.

On the original question.. You seem to be not alone on the uploading question another 50 such questions and I shall write a book on the subject ... should make a fortune unless some bright spark works out how to upload it :-)
Does http://www.limewire.com/english/cont..._library.shtml offer any useful information?
