![]() QUESTION: Is there a way to bounce back a file request to my machine to verify that my machine is recieving and processing file upload requests? I've installed Limewire and have no problem downloading files. System specs: WinXP Pro (no MS firewall) nVIDIA's Nforce4 chipset hardware based firewall. Norton anti-virus Auto-Protect Linksys Broadband router I've attempted to give Limewire access through the nVIDIA hardware firewall and Norton Auto-Protect, and enabled the Linksys Apps&Gaming Port Triggering on port 6346. A Problem might be that my Broadband ISP assigns IP addresses automatically (which change if I recycle my broadband modem). I also have auto DHCP enabled to assign my net addresses between three machines (well, the raid rig's mobo went kabluey... but that's a different story.. ![]() I suspect that if there is an upload problem, I'll have to manually assign local addresses (ugh..) to enable the router's uPnP Forwarding. Any suggestions, hints, and/or links to check would be most appreciated. PS.. Junior Member.. ROFL.. haven't been called junior for over 40 years... ![]() |
