Default 3kbps MAX!?!?

Im having an incredibly annoying problem, even though i have 2.3mbps ADSL and several hosts downloading from the dl speed just hovers in between 0kbps and 3kbps(but mainly just stay at 0kbps) it started doin this last night n im half way through some downloads. It doesnt matter what i try and downlaod though. everything does the same thing.

Can anyone shed light on my problem?

It's difficult to know why. It could be due to a no. of reasons.

Sometimes closing LW & re-opening will allow you to connect thru different peers & thus get better speeds.

Else, try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire

Try downlding a magnet link file from here to see what speeds you get: http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml

BTW did you look at the Sticky at the top of this section.

I'm having the same problem, i tried all the fixes, even when i downloaded from magnetmix i only got speeds of 0-3kb/s.

With so many people having similar problems it must be something to do with LW, there must be some sort of bug that can be fixed in the program. I didnt mind when i was using basic but now i'm using pro its beginning to get on my nerves.

"tried all fixes" huh!? Have you tried port forwarding? Did you enable LW full clearance thru your firewalls? Did you add 3rd party XP SP2 patches? Have you checked your isp provider hasn't started filtering p2p sharing?
As the forum rules state, it's very difficult to help when few details are provided.

HEY PPL GOT GREAT NEWS I KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS HAD IT MYSELF ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS THIS

TOOLS--> OPTIONS--> ADVANCED--> FIREWALL CONFIG--> AND CHANGE BOTH PORTS TO 80

it tricks the Fu**Ck**ers at TISCALI in to thinking your downloading from HTTP

anyway enjoy your speeds once again
