i got it working by expanding everything and opening it with itunes |
There's a sticky about how to do this in the Open Discussion section. If you search your topic before posting then you can save a lot of time. That's why nobody volunteered to answer your thread. Yes you need to add the songs into iTunes music library before you can transfer them to iPod. |
to OGloc and Pothw thanx for replying but it still didnt work for me, and to Lord of the Rings i already searched my problem before posting a thread but i couldnt find the answer, and i know that i have to get my LimeWiremp3's onto my iTunes Libery before importing them onto my iPod mini - but thats my problem ?I cant get my LimeWiremp3's onto my iTunes Libery...im really stuck |
|
thanx for that, i hate my computer it still isnt working...im gettin real frustrated now |
It would also possibly help if you tell us the equipment you are using Windows or Mac .... Opperating System etc. version of iTunes etc I haven't a clue if you use Windo$e |
1 Attachment(s) Some people get confused because they see the LW playlist within iTunes & think the songs are already within iTunes Music Library. But this isn't the case. That's only a playlist & the songs will still exist within your LW downld folder. They must be added using techniques as suggested by rkapsi or a couple of xtra techniques suggested in the thread I refered to in my above post. * Go to iTunes preferences >Advanced & make sure the option 'Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library' is ticked. (see image below: win to left & mac to the right.) You should also make sure you have the most up to date iTunes & iPod softw. Update both. iPod Tutorial: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/tutorial/index.html Remember you can add songs manually & this is probably the wisest way to add songs to your iPod. As Only A Hobo hinted, if you're using mac osx then it's much easier to set up as iTunes can be made to automatically import the songs to its music library. But this only applies to mac osx. |
ahh, that helps. will read the threads in future |
getting limewire playlist into itunes... continued. another way to get your limewire (LM) tunes into your itunes playlist and onto your ipod is to copy the mp3's directly from the LM save directory. This is the directory you specified when you installed LM to put stuff. Look at your LM preferences to determine the location of the directory. Copy to/from using 2 finder windows. You might have some naming issues, ie songs might be stuck in unknown artist or something, but you can work it out. |
