Default On Program Startup All Downloading Files Removed

I hadn't used LimeWire in about a month, I had probably 50-100 files that were not finished downloading yet, I usually close Limewire and night and then reopen it again the next day or a week or two or whatever. Anyway, this last time, when I opened Limewire, there was a message that basically said, sorry, you cannot continue downloading these files. That was it. no error number, nothing. Once I clicked ok the program loaded up and it was completely empty. Where did all these partically downloaded files go? Where is the history directory or db file or whatever that stores the information for the files being downloaded. Is it possible they were completely wiped off my computer? IS there anyway to recover them?

Thanks

My 1st guess is that you have your Keep incomplete files option set to default which is 7 days. This is a common mistake. So go to LW's menu Tools>Options>Saving & change it from 7 days to 999. Press apply button.

The other thing that might have happened is your incomplete preferences have become corrupt due to LW not being closed down properly before shutting down the computer. This can happen if you shutdown too soon after closing LW or else, your computer crashed whilst LW was running.

You can highlight/select the files from the incomplete folder via the Library window & hit the Resume button. Unfortunately, they will probably start from 0%. But at least you can downld the files you were after.
