Can I cancel? About 20 min. ago, I paid for a 2 year deal. Now, I really only wanted to download a few songs so I can learn them soon for a karaoke thing I am attending in a couple of weeks, but thought perhaps other songs will come up in the next 24 months..so I went with it. OK...every song I want to get my hands on has that license thing that would make it illegal for me to download. I came on board because it said "Legal Music Downloads...$1.00 a month!". So here I am unable to get ANY of the songs I wanted, and will be getting a bill for $24.76 on my Visa. So far, I have nothing but agida to show for my purchase. Can I cancel this and get out of the contract. I really think I am in over my head anyway...not too computer savvy. And after reading about the popups, viruses and trojan horses that can enter my workings....I just want outta here. I have been unable to find a way to make contact with customer service. PLEASE HELP!! (I paid for "imusicshare"....the Limeware was a "free" download that it said I needed in order to use it) |
Sight, another person being scammed. LW only offers 6 months upgrades and can only be gotten from www.limewire.com See this thread :( http://gnutellaforums.com/showthread...threadid=28751 |
merci, et voila! I did get a confirmation email from imusic.com support! I emailed them back to see what happens next. At their site, the prompts took me to a window where you had to download a program to let the music downloads happen. That was the LimeWire thing. There was nothing to indicate a fee to download it, so I figured it is like the free Acrobat Reader so many sites have for you to see their catalogs and so forth. I will be interested in seeing what imusics support has to say about my wanting out of a program that is now useless unless I want to break the law! Thanks again for your reply! |
Cancel Me This is not what I thought it was. Please cancel me and send confirmation to *** Please read Forum Rules (click here) This is simply a forum & has nothing to do with scam sites & is not a part of the official LW organisation! |
I just wandered over to imusic.com and had great dificulty finding a way to join up for their unlimited free downloads whatsit. I found an advertisement and then couldn't find it again ... The advert did not seem to have anything to do with imusic.com , but from what I read here it did?? Thing is you seem to have paid your money and joined up before you know what soft ware you are going to get. If you want something from a site that requires eg Acrobat Reader, you will be informed of the fact and offered a link to the relevant site to obtain said software. This is not happening here. and why any body is fool enough to follow the rather stange path to signing up for a totally unknown product is almost beyond me ....almost yes well we've all made mistakes once or twice in our lives and sadly on such occasions we find out too late but hopefully learn from our mistakes. I wish there was a way to warn the legions of the scammed, but sadly there is not . All will have paid their money well before turning up here, to try to get it back. sorry guys. |

Why do scam sites exist? Hi Hobo I guess you are starting to feel the way I do, hopelessly sad because people give their money away to these scam sites before they realise what they are doing, they then come here looking for answers Why do scam sites exist? Because there is so much prey available, i.e. people who have had common sense bypasses. UK Bob |
