Unhappy please help me =(

i downloaded limewire weeks ago on my computer and while teh songs downloaded super fast, all the songs were staticy throughout except for a few seconds where the sound was fine. i then uninstalled the program and decided to use ares. i had ares for awhile which was fine until that program basically went dead on me (it never let me connect!) so i uninstalled that. i just installed the new limewire and im still having the same problem i came across with it when i downloaded teh first limewire. i dont know what to do.

This is because you dl top40 songs that are infected by the RIAA. Songs with bitrates over 128kbps are always genuine. Next time, please post an informative title to the thread. We see that "help me" thingy many times a day and I usually don't even bother reading them

if you get lousy sound it is no fault of Limewire's. The files are downloaded directly fom the host and what you get is what they are sharing.

A bit of experimentation with files from different hosts and with different bitrates will help you decide what sounds good to you.

What are you playing the songs on? If you are using Limewires player you can expect pretty dreadful sound at the best of times. iTunes or another good media player will give you infinitely better sound.

Also et voil is one of the most helpful contributors to the forums and he and others who try to be helpful get frustrated by the number of poorly headed threads, with little information to go on, not to mention the legions of the scammed (don't ask.... if you are icurious do a search!)

hi thanks for the response. im using limewire's player. i have itunes as well but im not sure exactly how to get the songs to play on there vs. limewire (will do a search here though). i think his response to me was a bit harsh for someone who is new but thats just me. i like to help people instead of giving people i hard time....

Well ok, maybe I overdid, but you'd understand helping here

Thing is that most popular stuff is filled with static noise, those files are originally coming from RIAA organisation to discourage P2P and they are all at the 128kbps bitrate. If you want to play music in iTunes, just inactivate the LW media player in Options -> media player, uncheck then apply. Go in library and double click on songs, they should open your default music player which should normally be iTunes. Voilà.

Bonne chance

If I could suggest your username is perhaps ....er something that might get unusual attention...

as to the player, go to preferences/options>player and uncheck "use limewire mp3 player" The mp3s should then play through iTunes if that is the default mp3 player.

I use a Mac and we can select in the preferences to import directly into iTunes but I'm not sure if you can do that in Winsoze

This link should help

ah i see so rules of thumb:
1) never download anything that is 128 (never knew that!)
2) you want to download files that do not have the license thing

im actually not a hot girl nor do i 69 . i just used the name because i figured someone would help out a sexually active hot girl. i was going to put a fake pic in my profile but didnt

i just downloaded a song that is 96 and got it to load at itunes and it works like a charm. thanks
