Exclamation Viruses all over Limewire

I belive Limewire is on its way down. Lately i have noticed the massve amount of files infected with viruses. Example: T-872159-Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Soaked.zip
Click for more information about this threat : W32.Alcra.B

I have had 3 instances of this one today and many others. In my opinon the developers should setup a virus reporting system or work on different ways to filter out known bad files

You know, you get what you pay for.

The Limewire people have no control over what files people are sharing. To do so, they would have to download it, scan it for viruses, and then somehow put a "seal of approval" on it. It's much easier and efficient to let the "buyer" beware, in this case us downloaders.

I very seldom if ever download executables from P2P. The few times I have, I've immediately scanned it for viruses at www.pcpitstop.com, and maybe one out of four files was virus free.

It's called 'Peer To Peer' for a reason. You are taking the chance of downloading over an open connection. Any P2P program is not responsible for viruses that users like to slip in. I have noticed it to. to avoid it, double check the size of the file. I have never been infected but then again, I have a Virus Protection Program while I download.
