Games Not Installing

So... when I download a game (example****), I extract the file then open the new folder. Theres a program with the windows install icon called Setup and the other 2 lines say inno setup on both. When I click the file nothing happens, and when I do "Run As.." a window comes up asking for the administrator to log in... but still nothing happens. I'm stumped.

BTW this all started when I tried to install CS source, which my friend later told me has godlike protection codes on it... so is it possible that has anything to do with it?

Here's what I know about downloading games, you made need a key, code or serial sometimes to play them, they are not the complete disks and are sometimes not complete, games are a heavy load to dl, most come as part 1 etc. there maybe a special code you need to go with the game to open or play the file. Havent dled games in awhile so not sure exactly how it is now. make sure you get all the parts you need when downloading.
san andreas is a very long game. did it come with any type of readme file? also becareful of the versions you are dling. make sure its for PC if on a PC and not a mac version. [/b][/quote]

1. **** which has heavy copyright codes put in by the company to disallow the ability to share the game through a p2p... hence Limewire.

2. They are the full versions of the game and they are for windows.

3. There are no readme files. Its just the setup file.

4. I can't even get to the part where you would need to enter a key because windows instaler won't even launch... and that's the problem.

5. When I first tried it with ****, Windows Installer launched, but while it was "gathering" it said "There was a fatal error when trying to run etc. etc. etc." After that it just stopped opening and now nothing is opening which is why I'm here.

6. I know the problem is not windows installer because I have tried other programs that I bought at a store and they installed just fine.

You know, you can buy **** online for about $10 each. Seems a small price to avoid the headaches and potential viruses.

I'd like to see where I can get **** for $10... or a store that carries ****. **** I could really care less about anymore I wanted that a while ago.

Good luck with downloading **** I tried to download it from bearshare and Limwire, but it doesnt work, it requires a cd key which i tried looking for generators and there are none, even if you do get it you have to have a great computer to run it.\

Minimum Requirments

-1.2 Ghz Processor
-256MB Ram
-Directx 7 level graphics card
-4.5 GB of available Hard Drive Space

And thats just min. so I would suggest just to go out and buy it, even if you did get it to run you would still be stumped. It is only 50$ and it is worth the money. I bought it and I love it, **** is the real game, it comes with Source.

Thanks -- Matt

I'll have no problem running it:

2.20GHz processor
512MB ram
Directx 9 level graphics card
and currently 111.67 GB HD space
