I have just started using LW, and of the 59 tunes I've downloaded, only 11 show as being individually shared. In the Lime Wire library, these 11 are showing in black, and everything else is in red.

I'm running WinXP on HP Pavillion, 200 gb HD, 512 mb ram, LW 4.9.11, Java 1.5.0_04.

Also, I've added 'My Music' to the shared directory list, but as my music has been ripped as the whole album in WMA I'm not sure if this is accessible to the network. These files also are shown in red.

go to options>sharing and you will see a list of folders you are sharing. . From there you can add other folders you want to share.

A WMA album is fine for those who use WMA. It will upload the same.

If you have moved the files/folders since sharing them they will not be shared, although the original empty folder might show up.

Speaking as a Mac user I may have missed something but this may help

Thanks Hobo. I was mostly wondering if the titles in red meant that they weren't shared, but I see some have changed to black since they've been hit.

The items in the incomplete folder that are shown in red are not being shared. You will need to move them to your shared folder in order for them to be available to others. The black files that are in the folder are files that are being downloaded or are incomplete you probably have LW set to share incoming files so yes the black files are being shared but once they finish DL they will turn red and no longer be available.
