Default IS this possible

Im just wondering can you get a virus from downloading movies since they run off windows media player? If so theres got to be a way to find out before getting this virus I really want to make a dvd and dont want to risk getting a virus.

ok well there is no bizki info, its 431.1 mb, I just wanna know how can I make sure that It doesnt ***** up my comp with viruses.

I am not aware of avi or mpg/mpeg files having viruses unless they have a hidden extension or something. wmv I might be concerned about.

If you have an anti-virus program with up to date definitons & you scan all your downlds then your should be safe.
