![]() Hello Everyone I am relatively a newbie using Limewire and the whole P2P networking concept for that matter. My questions are: a) Whenever I am d/l mp3 files my bandwidth speed most of the time is in the range of 10 - 50 KBps (downloading from 3 - 6 hosts) and yet; b) when d/l avi files I can only get 1 - 12 KBps (downloading from 3 - 6 hosts). Why such great discrepancies between mp3 and avi files? I am using Limewire v. 4.8.1 Java v. 1.5.0_04 Type of Internet Connection: Wi-Fi (which is equivalent to Cable/Dsl, I guess) Limewire is in default configurations. Thank you. P.S. Is there any harm that may come to my computer if I leave Limewire running all day and night?, which I often do so I can finish d/l those large avi files. |
