enable your multicast ok many of you already heard about multicast, now you can enable your network to receive and send multicast packets. Majority of isp has multicast turned off, the solution is here. why and how? well multicast saves bandwith by sending the file only once to everyone thats listening, maybe schedualing file broadcast and everybody gotta tune in or schedual their download to start automatically. anyway all you need is a daemon called pseudo router, developed by belgian university belnet. download here http://www.castgate.net |

arrrggg, its not native multicast. the pseudo router software works as a tunnel, it forwards request tru the tunnel , tunnels are controlled by internet organisation. you can run stuff on your local network not on your isp subnet, the tunnels connects your local network to multicast islands. multicast is better at saving bandwith usage, only send the file once to who is listening it, not everyone. |
