my limewire freezes once obout every hour and its really annoying. what can i do?

just a suggestion, you may need to reboot your computer every now and then. if thats not the problem then can you provide a little more detail???

try to instal the latest java (if you are using the latest LW)

if it's not working try to instal JRE 1.4.2_09

i'm using the last version (second-to-latest) of lw and its not like my computer is constantly on so rebooting probably isn't the problem. as for java, i just got a fairly recent update.

If you have Java 1.5 then change it over to 1.4.2 or vice versa.

I had some minor problems with LW freezing when using with Avast Antivirus... (don't know why.....)

Connection, Dial-up/DSL
LimeWire Version 4.8.1/4.9.11
Java Version 1.4.2/1.5.4
Are you using a router, Brand/Model#
What firewall you use if any
What Antivirus if any
Are you new to LimeWire or Experienced
An accurate description of your problem
