Yeah, i was kinda confused! Well, my CPU is a celeron 800mhz, i have about 600mb RAM, i use an ASDL modem on a Broadband connection, I have downloaded the latest version of Limewire (4.9.28) and Java (5.4.4), i use XP Pro, i have onboard graphics (not sure about them!), i dont have a firewall and i use McAfee virus scan, i have used Limewire for a while, and it only stopped working once i downloaded the newer free version, after that i downloaded pro from it, i feel this was justified as i had previously paid for the older version and pro and had not even recieved pro with my initial Limewire download! My Limewire starts and the connection is always good, people can upload from me but every time i enter a search field and hit search, nothing at all happens, i dont get any results at all, i fear if i delete all traces of Limewire from my computer and start again i will lose all of my downloads! Im not really sure though!

OK first when you orriginally got LimeWire you say you paid for pro and did not get it. What website did you get it from and how much did it cost. The reason I ask this is because you may have been scamed and the orriginal version you got may be corrupt. And what version of LimeWire was it.

I cant remember what version it was, sorry, it was quite some time ago! I got it from www.piolet.com, it cost, altogether about £36! There was a tick box for the Pro version on the form, but i did not recieve it, the original version i bought did work fine though!

Sorry to tell you this but you have joined the legions of the scammed.

So I am guessing you DL the pro version from a P2P site. Odds are it is corrupt and may even contain a virus. Did you get it from someplace other than the official site.

Thats annoying, i did think it was rather pricey! The old version of Pro i got through the originally paid for Limewire, it worked fine until i deleted Java, unaware that it ran on it! I re-downloaded Java and everything and eventually the second version of Limewire i got, the newest version from the official site worked until i used it to download Pro, i wasnt sure but the Version number didnt match the Basic Limewire version i was using, it seemed too new, After that every time i re-installed Limewire it just wouldnt work, i can do a Virus scan, but it usually picks up things anyway, without my doing anything.
