Default T3 Filters

Ok so i have read through most of these threads and im still confused... There is no way to filter the T3 results yet correct? And if there is could someone explain it to me, cause everytime i search the only results i get are T3 or higher and im on cable. I just DL lime wire 2 days ago and i DL 5 songs with no problem and since then i cant get anything. I get the idea we should be dl from something below T3, but i dont know how to do that someone help!!!!!

I get the "Corrupt Files" message and there has been a bunch of talk on these threads about it steming from T3 connections with spam and stuff. I tried finishing the DL and all i get is 15-30 mins of nothing.... they had talked a little bit about filters and what not for T3 or higher connections but i wasnt sure how to access that if at all possible.

I just fixed the problem i think, i had my options on show T3 or higher only and i switched it to show all speeds, so now i can see different speeds and shouldnt have the problem.

Keep in mind that some users like to lie about their connections. So if it says T3 I dout very much its a real T3. And some of those T3 hosts are not to be relied on for dls or speeds. Personally, I dl off of cable users more than those that claim they are T3 or higher. I never seem to have luck wth them myself.

OK lets get real here.

#1 Most T3 connections are spammers but not all by a long ways.

#2 Your fastest DL will come from T3

#3 All speeds will have corrupt files

#4 Some people do lie about there connection speed I doubt if it is over 5% may be wrong there but it doesn't mater any way.

#5 If you get a connection that DL at 30kb or above from 1 host you are probably DL from a T3 connection and if you get say 8 host and DL at 60 or above 1 of them is most likely T3

#6 If you are getting allot of corrupt file messages you are probably DL software that is where you see the most spam and viruses in your search results. Now lets look at software a little common since goes a long way here I have yet to see any working software that was 851.7kb most software is at least in the MB size range. And ask yourself this if you were a hacker where would you plant a virus. How about in software and put it on a p2p network so when a person breaks the law and downloads it then installs it onto there computer they can install the virus which will open a port for them to get into your computer. Humph makes sense to me.

I do not filter any connection speeds why would I want to limit the amount of sources from which to draw from. Although I do block a limited # of host that are known to me to carry nothing but the porn that has recently come up in all search results. And yes they are T3. I normal download between 50kb and 650kb depending on the # of files I am downloading at any given moment.

A little common sense goes a long way look to see how many time a file shows up in your search if a file shows up several times there is a good chance it is a virus or spam IE same file size different variation of the name or the same name. Bitz the files before you download them. Or better yet buy the damm software then you don't have to worry about it.

I very rarely get the corrupt file message maybe 1 out of every 100 files downloaded. So I know for a fact that not every file out there is corrupt while there are allot of corrupt files a little common sense will help you to avoid them.

I only dl music myself. Its not like the old Napster days when you can trust which hosts you were dling off. Stick with dling music, much safer. Im cable user and go faster with a fellow cable user and dl a music file in under two minutes. 90 percent of the software you see on gnutella is pirated and doesnt work, not worth the effort. meh, I stay away from those files. Ive never had a corrupt music file.

Another thing I do When d/l music is to re-encode it using dbpower that is free for the basic ver that usually finds them pretty quick

Link here

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/

It can't re-encode, The file is deleted straight off without opening it

Or It can And the file size drops under 2.5Mb for new files it's deleted without opening

50-70s file drops under 1 mb get rid of it

Some 50s songs will be under 2mb but never under 1mb that I've found so Far
