Can any one help me.................

I have just downloaded Lime wire and am currentkly trying to down load files , but without any success.

I have done a search without any problem but when I try to downlaod, nothing happens.

I'm sure i'ts a simple step that i've missed.

So search results show up ok right?! You need to select the file you want to downld from the search results & press the downld button. Also see the following link & follow all the off-shoot links to find hints & extra skills to help solve your problem: To continue files downlding (click on link)
But be aware of this Licence requirement (click on link)

BTW can you see the downld window? If not, there's 2 solutions. 1. Drag the small arrow at the bottom up so you can see the window. 2. Easiest is deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is CLOSED; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire

It was an issue with the licencing, which I've now changed.
