Question firewall i think???

I need some help hardcore. Im a student at Saginaw Valley State University and we have to have Symantec antivirus to connect to their network. I have it but i wont let me download music. It wouldnt let me connect on bearshare, and on limewire it connects but it wont search...lots of problems, everyone i talk to says they think its a firewall but they have no idea. I just downloaded limewire today so i know its the latest basic version. Also the limewire firewall icon on the bottom of the program shows that it is detecting a firewall...if anyone could help me that would be much appreciated. I just want to take advantage of these super fast connections but havent been able to because i cant get anything to work.

are you allowed to adjust your firewall settings at school? if not then you might be out of luck.

If you just installed (first time using LW) than I think you are having a firewall problem...
Try Firewall configuration instructions (click on link) If you are allowed to adjust your firewall settings...

If this just has appeared after closing a popup than you should have:
license problem (click here) and folow the "Revert Popups to Default" link inside...
