3,164 kb dummy files - viruses? hello everyone, this is my first post. i've been using limewire for quite awhile now, but today when i opened up the program and started a few audio searches i noticed that each of my five searches returned one 3,164 kb file with the exact wording of each search. when i tried to download a couple of these files, they each needed more sources. i was searching for some pretty obscure mp3s so i thought this was kind of strange. i ran a few more searches with weird/nonsensical words to test this out and sure enough, the searches returned one 3,164 kb file each with the exact title i had searched for. i ran norton antivirus and my system's clean. anyone having a similar problem? |
do not dl any such files like these, this has already been disccused, these are viruses/worms. all you can do is avoid them. Think large megs when downloading off P2P not small. |
