Default Disconnecting

I am getting a strong connection but for some reason during either uploading or downloading my computer will shut down and reboot. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this happens.

I have the following equipment
AMD 64 3000+
512 MB Ram
Asus K8S-MX motherboard
Windows XP Pro
Most recent LW basic

Thanks

Have you checked your internet connection? What ISP do you have are you on cable or dialup?

Im not a computer tech but that doesnt sound right. Did you intstall LW over an old install? Try a fresh install of Limewire. If that doesnt clear it up then it might be your internet connection disconnecting you or your version of LW is corrupt.

I have installed both a old version and the most recent. I have only been using LW for about 1 month.

The computer I have is new and I not sure if it is a hardware problem. Also, I have a router and mircrosoft firewalls. Can the port settings have anything to do with this?
