All File types not showing Before I did the Limewire update, there were files with "wmv" file extentions showing in the searches. Now all that show are mpg, mpeg anf mov files. How do I get the WMV files back in the search listing? |
WMV File types not coming up I'm having exactly the same trouble with .wmv file types and it's really annoying, I wish I knew the solution... >.< |
I'm guessing you might have filtered them out. Go to the LW menu bar, Tools>Options>Filters>Keyword & see if .wmv is on the list. If yes, select it & press both the remove & apply buttons. If that doesn't work get back to us. The other possibility I can think of is Tools>Options>Sharing & at bottom of window it will show extensions being shared. If .wmv is not on there then add it. |
I believe the .wmv files are filtered by default in the newer versions of LimeWire you will have to follow the Lord's instructions and change the settings. |
=o=o=o It works now! It was keyword filtered meep. Lord of Rings = God. |
only have stats under tools drop down You indicated I could add wmv files to a search by including them by going to Tools>Options>Filters>Keyword. I only have statistics under the tool menu.. I am using LW 4.10 What can I do? Thanks |
It sounds like you're using Mac OSX version is that right? If yes, then you'll find the options under LW's preferences. LW prefs are found under the Limewire name on the menu bar next to the apple icon in the far left corner of apple menu bar. A keyboard short-cut to open it is ⌘ , (command-comma) |
