Default no search results..?

im as dumb as a stick when it comes to computers. theres no search results and in the bottom left hand corner, theres a picture of a globe with a wall in front of it so i guess that means theres a firewall thats keeping me from downloading. how do i take it off

I have the same problem... I have a firewall... Dont know what kind of firewall i have... or how to fix it...

I think you have to go and adjust the security settings on your firewall. First up, find out who provids it on your comp. If its aol, more than likely its macaffe or other junk. first check on that.

i dont have AOL but im guessing my firewall thing is norton. but how can i check to be 100% sure?

nevermind now. i found out it was norton and i added it to the safe list for access to the internet. now i have search results. thanks for the help!

codyh84 did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link) I'm not sure how to determine what firewalls you have other than doing a control-alt-delete & bringing up the Task Manager to see what firewalls are on the list. Grandpa might have a better idea how to determine what firewalls you have.
