Hahahaha got ripped off huh! Well we try to help people who accidentally get their LW from scam sites instead of the official site. But if you go to the official LW site, where does it say anything about iPod? And since you're expected to use the Basic free version until you know what you're doing, you sound to me like nothing more than a Troll. Yes we have sympathy for people who were scammed, but with your statements like above, somehow you seem to have your own expectations that are nowhere claimed by the official Limewire site. Go there & have a look for yourself. And learn to RTFM (click on link) when you buy something instead of trolling forums.

ok "lord of the rings" as in circus rings, you must be the master clown.... I went to the limewire site to begin with and downloaded. Everything went ok but it wouldn't launched,so I figured that it was because it was a teaser. oh well,i got burned but if you go to the site it sure looks like it is an official limewire....and ok maybe I went off on the wrong foot but was very frustrated. got this for my son;s b'day and can't download any tunes from anywhere. So I apologize already so if you have any good advice and not sarcasm,I'd appreciate it.. if not, please leave me alone.

You mean you're having downldling problems or problems transfering songs to your iPod? Are you able to get search results? Did you configure your firewall? Did you look at the forum rules & the Sticky at the top of this section? A clearly specified problem with details of computer & issue helps us to know what the person's problem is & perhaps we might see an obvious answer. If we had that in the beginning we could have saved 2 days.

No converting from mp3 to mp3 is a poor idea. Search your computer using your computer search engine for one of these songs. See if a copy exists within your iTunes Music Library. If yes, then it should copy across. Use the manual technique of adding to iPod. The only other reason I can think of why the files won't copy across is if they are mp3pro. iPod & iTunes do not recognise mp3pro which was designed for improved performance for very low bit-rate mp3's, such as 64 kbps to 128 kbps. But it doesn't compare very well with other mp3 encoders for higher bit-rates.

Also go to iTunes menu bar, Edit>Preferences & click the advanced tab. Make sure the option to Copy Files to iTunes Music Library folder is ticked.
