What's your version of Java? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. Do you have ultrapeer enabled? Under Tools>Options>Speed, is Disable Ultrapeer capabilities ticked or not? |
Lime wire is 4.9.28 java 1.5.0_04 i have tried with the ultra peer checked and unchecked get the same results |
Have you updated your computer there was a update for marvell yukon 1000/100/10 lan back in July |
yeah i made sure to get all the updates for all my computers i am currently up on all my update for windows and drivers |
not sure if this is a driver issue though but i could be wrong..... kinda it something in the code of the software seems to me that allotta people are having the same problem with this build just alittle different situation per problem |
Are you using wireless because I see a few people have been having problems with wireless and computer re booting and freezing issues |
well i did some more research.... found out that the marvel-yukon driver that microsoft release during july was buggy so they did another release on august 23. but for some reason it didn't show up on the drivers list when u run windows update. But if u go into your device manager and select update driver and let it got on the web to search for the driver it pulls the new driver Since i updated the driver everything seems to go well got the download speed up to unlimited bandwith and 8 connections and hasn't locked up yet Hope this helps somebody else down the road Yes i do have a wireless card but i am not currently using it because at home i don't have an access point and at work they have a hot spot and it's limited to a 2 hour usuage before u have to put in a new password so i see that kinda pointless just connecting in the old switch does the trick for me |
I am glad to see you found the solution to the problem. I was not aware of the August release. Thanks for letting us know. |
